Sie ist ein durchschnittlich gro\u00dfer Stern im \u00e4u\u00dferen Drittel der <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Milchstra%C3%9Fe\">Milchstra\u00dfe<\/a>. Die Sonne ist ein <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Zwergstern\">Zwergstern<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gelber_Zwerg\">Gelber Zwerg<\/a>), der sich im <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sternentwicklung\">Entwicklungsstadium<\/a> der <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hauptreihe\">Hauptreihe<\/a> befindet. Sie enth\u00e4lt 99,86&nbsp;% der <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Masse_(Physik)\">Masse<\/a>, jedoch nur ca. 0,5&nbsp;% des <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Drehimpuls\">Drehimpulses<\/a> des Sonnensystems. Ihr Durchmesser ist mit 1,4 Millionen Kilometern etwa 110-mal so gro\u00df wie der der Erde. Die <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Photosph%C3%A4re\">Oberfl\u00e4che der Sonne<\/a> zeigt eine wechselnde Zahl von <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sonnenflecken\">Sonnenflecken<\/a>, die in Zusammenhang mit starken <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Magnetfeld\">Magnetfeldern<\/a> stehen. Sie werden neben weiteren Ph\u00e4nomenen als <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sonnenaktivit%C3%A4t\">Sonnenaktivit\u00e4t<\/a> bezeichnet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sonnenstrahlung\">Sonnenstrahlung<\/a> ist eine der Grundvoraussetzungen f\u00fcr die Entwicklung und den Erhalt des <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Leben\">Lebens<\/a> auf der Erde. Die durch die Sonnenstrahlung freigesetzte Energie beruht auf der <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kernfusion\">Kernfusion<\/a> von <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wasserstoff\">Wasserstoff<\/a> zu <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Helium\">Helium<\/a>, das sogenannte <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wasserstoffbrennen\">Wasserstoffbrennen<\/a> in der <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Proton-Proton-Reaktion\">Proton-Proton-Reaktion<\/a>.
